Girls' golf: Clear Lake finishes second at Fuchs Invitational

The Clear Lake girls’ golf team put together a furious second-day rally to almost win the Debbie Fuchs Invitational golf tournament at Galveston Country Club, but fell just three strokes short of Houston Memorial.

Memorial had a two-day total of 323-347—670 while Clear Lake shot 347-326—673. Clear Creek was third (371-364—735), Clear Springs was sixth (389-402—791), Clear Falls was seventh (408-402—810), Clear Brook was eighth (416-422—838) and Clear Lake’s B team was ninth (415-424—839).

Brazoswood’s Madison Kidd won the individual title with rounds of 75 and 79 for a 154 total. Clear Lake’s Kari Bush was third at 82-77—159.
